What can I recycle?
  • All-in-One Pilot Program
    November 2006 marked the start of a pilot recycling program in nine buildings on-campus, with all recyclables going into the same containers. Additionally, new standard recycling containers were placed in the buildings' public areas, classrooms, and alongside desks. As of August 2007, 61.29 tons of recyclables had been diverted from landfills.
  • Printing Cartridge, Toner, Paper Recycling
    Call 292-2694 or complete the Stores online return form to schedule a pick up of your used cartridge. Stores will pick up cartridges for recycling regardless of where or when the toner was purchased. Proceeds are donated to Operation Feed.
  • Mercury Thermometer Exchange
    Stores and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) developed a mercury thermometer recycling program to help eliminate mercury and its associated health and environmental hazards. EHS provides one-for-one exchange of mercury thermometers for non-mercury thermometers to meet established standards. As of December 2008, more than 14,000 thermometers have been exchanged.

    Did you know that UniPrint...
    - Is an Energy Star partner
    - Uses inks and alcohol free substitutes in the presses to be fully compliant with the Ohio EPA and reduce air emissions by approximately 90%
    - Uses remanufactured toner in the printer management program
    - Converts paper stock used in instructional course packets to recycled material
    - Preliminary steps have been completed for FSC certification
